Princess Bubblegum
(an 18th Century Inspired Cosplay)
For Birmingham MCM 2022, I decided to create a cosplay of the popular cartoon character Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time. The cosplay featured a large pink gown, gold crown, and a 6ft wig made from wool. The project took three months to complete, starting in early September 2022, and finishing just before the convention in November 2024.

MCM Masquerade
After working hard o Princess Bubblegum I decided to enter the costume into the masquerade. This was one of the most exciting things I have ever done, as it allowed my work to be displayed to a judging panel and a large audience of people who were attneding the convention.
Creating the Wig
The wig was created using 6ft lengths of yarn made into wefts using hot glue. These wefts were then pulled apart to the correct size and glued to the wig cap to create the hair. Altering the direction at the top gave a nice parting, and I included a box fringe to cover the wig cap.
